Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin picking is something for people of all ages with a love for autumn, with a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city student life, admire the changing of the leaves, find some great decorations for your student house and snap some Instagram pics in the process. For some post worthy pics and the perfect pumpkin to carve this October, head to Pumpkin Time @ Sunnyfields Farm. Make sure to book in advance online!

Located a short journey just outside of the city centre at SLS Clinic, learn how to crochet your very own adorable pumpkin just in time for the autumn season. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, the workshop is perfect for all skill levels, with experienced instructors to guide you through the process step by step. Autumn Wreath-Making Workshop
For another day full of crafting and creativity head to the Barn at Hamble Country Park to learn how to make an autumnal wreath using sustainable and upcycled materials. Making flowers from plastic bottles, mushrooms from air dried clay, paint, wood and leaves from upcycled fabric to make the perfect wreath for your uni house door.

Bonfire Night is approaching with most venues releasing tickets and information about events. One of the best fireworks displays on offer in close proximity to our student living in Southampton is Mayflower Park.
Autumn Walk In The Park/Ghost Walk
There are many pretty and aesthetically pleasing areas of Southampton to walk through this autumn with a pumpkin spice latte in hand perhaps!
Hot Chocolate at Mettricks
Southampton is a haven for independent coffee shops and cafes with Mettricks arguably being one of the best. With a number of stores, one down by Ocean Village and another by Guildhall Plaza, both closely located near our Southampton student accommodation. Mettricks is a favourite among locals and students. Offering a chilled-out vibe with either dark, milk or white hot-chocolate made from scratch with real chocolate.
Sunday Roasts in Southampton
Some of the best places to go for a Sunday roast this autumn include:

- Duke of Wellington – Praised for their Yorkshire puddings!
- The Cricketers – A lovely pub restaurant that makes you feel at home instantly.

Get into the spooky spirit with a classic Halloween film or opt for something more comforting with a movie afternoon with your flatmates. Grab some snacks and settle down for some Netflix and chill! Alternatively, Southampton offers a number of cinemas closely located to our accommodation for newer screenings and sometimes offering cult classics.
